Meeting Family

Isaac has so many family members & friends who couldn't wait to meet him! (And he certainly heightened their anticipation by being two weeks late!) My parents, BeBe and PopPop (as named by Lydda Grace), drove up the Monday I was in labor. They got to meet Isaac shortly after he was born on Tuesday.

My sisters were able to come up the Friday after Isaac was born. It was so fun to see them and I'm so glad they got to meet him so soon.

My mom stayed with us for a week after we came home from the hospital. I'm not sure what we would have done without her!
 

Javier's parents are coming this Thursday. It's so great to have family that love our little guy so much!

Isaac Suddeth Schloemann

We are thrilled to announce the birth of our son,

Isaac Suddeth Schloemann!

Isaac was born on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 5:47 pm. He weighed 9 lbs, 1.5 oz. and was 22.5 inches long. He has a head full of dark hair with a few light highlights.

We chose the name Isaac for several reasons. We both liked it from our earliest talks about names and especially like how God displays his faithfulness to his people through Isaac in the Bible. We also love that his name means "laughter" and hope that his days will be full of laughter and he will bring joy to those around him.

Suddeth is a family name from Rebekah's dad's side. Specifically, Suddeth was chosen because of Grandpa Suddeth, who was extremely influential in her dad's life. Rebekah grew up hearing story after story of Grandpa Suddeth, and even though she never met him, he's been very special to her.

It has been a joy getting to know Isaac & we can't believe how much he's already changed from these first few pictures in the hospital. We absolutely love this little guy!
