Niece's Kisses

I love my little niece's kisses. So, I was swinging her at Emily's birthday party and asked her if she would give me a kiss when she was on the upswing. We tried quite a few times. It was hard because it was my job to make sure we met right at the top of the upswing, else we either missed or it would hurt big time! Needless to say, I erred on the side of missing. The first time we missed, I said, "you missed me, Lydda Grace," and she replied in the cutest little voice, "I couldn't reach your mouth." Eventually, we got the hang of it and Debbie's boyfriend, Richard, caught this great picture with his camera.

Up and running!

Here they come - our garden plants! We've really embraced this whole gardening thing. To the point of growing our plants from seeds in the guest bedroom closet under fluorescent shop lights.

SC weekend

Last weekend Javier & I were able to go visit friends in Greenville and surprise Emily for her birthday! We really enjoyed the time with family & friends.


Saturday lunch at Blue Ridge... probably our favorite restaurant anywhere. Even the ketchup is great, and I don't normally really like ketchup!

We didn't get any pictures Saturday while we were at Em & Jon's house, just too much going on. They met us for a little bit Sunday afternoon at Cleveland Park, and it was nice visiting while Lydda Grace & Wade had some fun. Again, wasn't really thinking about pictures, so this is about all I got. It was crazy to see how much the kids have changed since Christmas!

I loved seeing all the blooming trees & flowers! We were able to spend a ton of time outside to enjoy them, too. I'm really looking forward to those blooms heading our way - you can just see the beginnings of blooms here. :)

It's hard to visit everyone in one weekend, so I'm thankful that I'll be able to see some other super special friends in a few weeks!
